Our Approach & Human Values
We believe that caring for trees begins with truly listening to people and deeply respecting natural balances. Moving away from aggressive sales tactics, we focus on honest communication and measured, thoughtful action.
"The tree precedes us and will outlive us if we learn to understand it."
At Arbres Services Genève , we never consider a tree as a mere decorative element or a mass of wood to be lumbered. For Bendik Häusermann and his team, every specimen — whether a century-old oak, a family apple tree or a young native hedge — is a complex living organism with remarkable biology and a fundamental ecological role in our Lake Geneva region.
Our approach is founded on honesty . When we come to visit your garden or your property, we do not seek to sell you unnecessary or traumatic interventions for the tree. If a tree is healthy and presents no risk, we will simply tell you to let it be. If an intervention is required for your safety or the health of the tree, we will explain every step clearly and considerately.
1. Respect for Tree Biology
We ban harsh pollarding and destructive severe pruning that weaken the crown and create entry points for pathogenic fungi. We apply the principles of reasoned pruning , respecting branch collars and the natural healing capacities of the plant.
2. Unconditional Security & Serenity
Technical arboriculture at height demands absolute rigor. We constantly invest in personal protective equipment (PPE) to the strictest Swiss standards, maintain our ropes and cranes with meticulous care, and meticulously secure every groundsite perimeter to protect your family and your property.
3. Ecological Valorization & Short Circuits
Nothing is wasted: branches from our pruning are chipped on site or transported to be transformed into natural mulch (chip mulch) to protect beds and vegetable gardens in the region. Felled trunks are milled into local firewood or timber for artisan creations.
4. Human Proximity & Transparency
Bendik Häusermann is your single point of contact, from the first diagnostic visit through to the final sign-off of the project. No intermediaries, no surprises on the invoice, and warm, fluent communication in French, English or German depending on your preference.
